PB3 Campus Graduation Ceremony

                                                                                                       during Pandemic

The Covid-19 pandemic has indeed a ected all aspect of our lives, including how Spring eld conducted

the graduation ceremony for the G12 class of 2020. Under strict health protocol, Spring eld held a simple
graduation ceremony for the G12 class of 2020 on Friday, June 26, 2020 from 4 – 7 pm.

Instead of having the usual graduation ceremony – where all graduates, their families, and teachers are assembled
in one big room for a 90-minute ceremony – the graduates were invited to attend the ceremony during the

allocated time, along with their family members. The graduation took place in the atrium area of building A at the
PB3 campus. Each G12 homeroom class was given a one-hour slot to attend the special graduation ceremony.
Because there were three G12 homeroom classes, the whole ceremony lasted approximately three hours.
          CONGRATULATIONS

The ceremony went something like this:
Each student and his/her family members waited in a car until their turn arrived.
Before entering the waiting area at the front o ce, they had their body temperature checked by the security
                                       personnel.

Once they were ready, they waited near the stage area in the atrium for the graduates name to be called.
When Mr Djoharli, the academic principal, called the graduates name and read out their achievements, the
graduate went to the stage to get their diploma from Mr Rod, the head of school, where they then had their

                                       pictures taken.
The graduate was then directed to the second stage where he/she could have their photo taken together with
                                       their family members.

The whole process took approximately 3 – 5 minutes for each graduate. Although the ceremony was simple, the

graduates dressed up to the nines for the occasion. Of course, this is a once in a lifetime moment that cannot be
                                    recreated.

The three-hour program went smoothly. While waiting or after receiving their diploma, the graduates were still
able to follow the graduation ceremony through an online live stream.
