Online Learning at PB3 campus
during the Pandemic Era
Zoom. Google Meet. Exam.net. Quizziz.
Suddenly those names have become very common for teachers and students during the online
teaching and learning during this Covid-19 pandemic era. With the gathering of large numbers
of people prohibited, schools around the world must rely on distance learning during the
pandemic.
Fortunately, Spring eld School is more than ready to accommodate distance learning. With
strong internet connection on campus, combined with dedicated iMacs or laptops for teachers
for online teaching, since the beginning of the 2020/2021 academic year in mid-June 2020,
Spring eld teachers at PB3 have adjusted well to online teaching. And in the process, they have
learnt many new applications and technologies.
SEQTA is the core of online lessons at Spring eld. The teachers post information regarding their
lessons and assignments on SEQTA, giving students and parents access into all lesson
information.
Zoom and Google Meet are the applications of choice for the delivering of live lessons. Google
Classroom, Google Slides, Google Docs, and Schoology are just some of the applications used for
delivering teaching material or for giving assignments.
Quizziz and Kahoot are popular applications for giving online quizzes along with online class
activities. For test purposes, teachers usually resort to exam.net.
All of us are hoping that the pandemic will be over very soon. But in the meantime, Spring eld
continues to do its best to provide meaningful and valuable online lessons for students using the
various technology and applications that are available to them.
