TEACHING AND
LEARNING AT PB2
THROUGH THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC
How can we shift to online learning if the school is closing tomorrow?
What will we do if the school closes for months? How will we deliver the curriculum for students online?
What about children who do not have devices? How will the children take their exams?
So many more questions were in our minds when this pandemic struck. We started by being reasonable with ourselves. It is, in fact, impossible
to shift to distance learning overnight without lots of trial and error. The end of the academic year 2019-2020 was our trial and error period.
Then we tried our best to plan for more online teaching and to do our best and make peace with the situation. We can tell you, now that we’re
in week 20 of online and into our 2020-2021 academic year, we are still far from perfect. We had to reset our baseline. We're all operating in the
shadows of a global pandemic, and it is disorienting and limiting. Teaching and learning as before is unrealistic.
However we are determined to overcome adversity during this online learning period, and to motivate students to enjoy their online learning,
the only option we have at the moment. While teachers are developing technology skills, embracing new educational apps, and transforming
the teaching methodology through di erent professional development, students are more engaged in the learning process. We can say that
we are proud of our students, who are still displaying their best performance both academically and behaviorally to keep the learning process
continuing, even though it is through the screen.

really makes us proud along with helping to motivate our P5 English Works
teachers to keep pushing forward as they endeavour to give
of their best while educating to the highest international
quality. We continue praying that every Spring eld family is
safe and healthy.
