Full Covid-19 Vaccination for
Springfield Permata Buana
By Mr. Peter Lau
Spring eld School successfully conducted full Covid-19 vaccinations for Spring eld
students for both our Primary and Secondary levels (on 5 Jan 2022 for the rst dose and
3 Feb 2022 for the second dose) as a part of the government’s program. The vaccination
took place at our PB2 campus with strict health protocols applied at all times starting with
registration stations, health screening stations, vaccination stations and the waiting areas
where students could wait to see if they have any adverse reactions after receiving the
vaccine.
Covid-19 vaccinations for students is an e ort to give immunity against the Covid-19 disease
and help to create a safe and comfortable environment for face-to-face learning at school for
both students and teachers. It also gives parents some peace of mind in letting their children go
back to school again even during a pandemic. The students received the Sinovac vaccine
according to ITAGI and BPOM recommendations.
Jumeri, Direktur Jenderal PAUD, Pendidikan Dasar, dan Pendidikan Menengah, stated as
mentioned on Indonesia’s Ministry of Education webpage (https://www.kemdikbud.go.id
/main/blog/2021/12/vaksinasi-covid19-bagi-anak-usia-611- tahun- dorong- optimalisasi- pembe-
lajaran-tatap-muka-terbatas), “Vaccination is a big opportunity for learning recovery during the
Covid-19 pandemic”, he also continued, “although it is not a learning requirement for limited
face-to-face learning, this vaccination is our big capital to maintain the safety and security of
children in participating in face-to-face learning. So, please make our understanding together
and we ask for support from all parties so that the vaccination process goes well," said Jumeri.
Covid-19 vaccination was done without removing the basic regulations of Covid-19 health
protocols such as hand washing regularly, social distancing and face mask usage in public areas
including inside the classrooms. We hope the Covid-19 vaccination supports students’
immunity and reduces parents’ worries when face-to-face learning happens in schools.
