“ I am Wenny Saputra, Janice’s and Jaiden’s mommy from P1. This year is our 1st year at Spring eld

School. Janice is in P1C and Jaiden in P1A. Due to the pandemic, the children have to do all their

learning from home. they are unable to enjoy their time at school with friends in Spring eld.
However, I trust that this will be a better way for everyone as a means to stop the spread of the
Covid-19 virus. It is all new and uncharted territory and it’s not easy for any of us to do something
like Home Learning, especially for the children.

Home learning means learning from outside of the school and with no public interaction.
Essentially, Home learning involves us as parents guiding our children’s educational development,
in addition to the teacher teaching them from school. So, we have to work together with the

school and the teachers to achieve the best for our children educational. At home, we need to
provide a conducive environment to ensure that the children are comfortable and enjoy their
home learning sessions. And as parents, we need to provide su cient time and attention for our
children.

On the other hand, I know and trust Spring eld School as they are prepared and ready to handle
Home Learning, by providing learning kits and giving us as parents some clear guidance. For
Home Learning, my twins have adapted smoothly and are enjoying their new teachers, new

friends and a new school, virtually. During class time, there are lots of activities which help them
have fun while learning which has helped keep them happy while enjoying their classes. We know
that it is also important for the teachers while at the same time di cult for them as they manage
the students virtually. We know too that it is hard for the teachers as they try to ensure that the
students are attentive during the class time and also following their instructions. My twins are

satis ed and happy to be a part of Spring eld School. And, I hope Spring eld School keeps doing
its best for our children in the present and on into the future.

“ I have been doing online learning for more than 3 months in Grade 2, I enjoy it quite a

lot. Students can learn safely from home, and both teachers and students do not have to

worry about getting infected by covid. One of the reasons why I really enjoy online
learning is because I can study in my own room, but to be honest I really miss studying
with my friends and teachers. I want to see them all again in school and have fun with

them.

The best thing I like the most during online learning is when my science teacher informs

me that I am going to perform an experiment that I can explore by myself. I have a wish
that I could learn more on swimming during the physical education class.
